Community Guidelines
AVATUS is an avatar-based social networking platform designed to facilitate creative expression, connection, and engagement among users. It offers a space for individuals to customize their digital avatars, interact with others, and share content in a virtual environment. Through AVATUS, users can explore diverse cultures, communicate with friends, and participate in a dynamic online community. The platform aims to redefine the concept of social interaction in the digital realm by providing a unique avenue for self-expression and virtual connections.

At AVATUS we are building a global community based on privacy, safety and mutual respect and fairness. Here people can connect with each other based on similar interests and aspirations while maintaining their privacy and anonymity. It is a place where you can explore, interact, grow and monetize your ideas. In order to keep AVATUS a happy place for all its users, we work hard to uphold our values and that is why we have created these Community Guidelines: to clarify the do’s and don’ts and make sure everyone can coexist in harmony.
Our Community Guidelines are built around the four main pillars:

Our values apply to everything we do at AVATUS, because we are determined to keep our community safe and our interactions as positive and constructive as possible. We are excited to go through this journey together with you and we ask for your collaboration in upholding our Community Guidelines. Please note that violating the rules may result in disciplinary actions against your account. Also, if you notice anything that violates the Community Guidelines please report it to AVATUS Administration using the Violation Report under “Contact Us”.
Please keep in mind, that as our community develops and the AVATUS platform grows and expands, our Community Guidelines may evolve to accommodate those developments.
PRIVACY
Privacy and anonymity of the users is one of the main aspects that differentiates AVATUS from other social media platforms. It is paramount that we keep AVATUS accounts and systems secure. For information on how we do that please read our Privacy Policy.
To ensure the privacy of all AVATUS community members, the following actions are not permitted:
Sharing Personal Information
We do not permit users to publicly share their or other users’ personal information on AVATUS platform. That includes:
Full name
Passwords
Unique Identifiers
Email addresses
Telephone numbers
Physical address
What this means for you
When creating a post, a channel or an event, do not publicly share your personal information like your real name, ID or passport number, home address, telephone number, email or any financial information like credit card details or bank account number. If you do, AVATUS will no longer be able to guarantee your privacy and anonymity.
If you wish to reveal any of the above mentioned information to your contact or group of contacts on AVATUS, you may do so using the private chatrooms. However even in group private chat and/or livestream settings it is not allowed to reveal such information for anyone other than yourself.
Posting Photo & Video Content
AVATUS is an avatar based digital community. All our community members conduct all dealings on AVATUS through their digital doubles or Avatars.
What this means for you
Do not post unfiltered images featuring your real face or the faces of others in the picture. The violation of this policy may lead to the removal of content and suspension of channel/account.
Unauthorized voice and video recordings
AVATUS does not allow posting of unauthorised video and audio content of other individuals recorded in a private setting.
Conversations with others, whether they are face-to-face or over the phone, should not be recorded and posted on your account, channel or event unless prior permission is obtained from the other party.
Unauthorised video and audio recording of minors is strictly prohibited. If such content is reported it will be removed and may lead to further sanctions like blocking the account or channel or cancelling an event.
What this means for you
When making a voice or video recording of other people, make sure they know your purpose and intention. Do not post audio or video content if you do not have the prior agreement/permission of the people that feature in the video or audio file.
Do not post a conversation between yourself and someone else unless you have asked that person for a permission to record and post that conversation.
Note: This policy does not apply to videos recorded in crowded public places, like shopping malls, parks, etc.
SAFETY
AVATUS is a diverse multicultural global community created to connect people in a positive and constructive manner. We want everyone on AVATUS to feel included and safe. To ensure a safe nurturing environment on AVATUS, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
Unauthorized Access
We prohibit any activity that is used to gain unauthorized access to AVATUS systems or accounts, as well as threatening or encouraging such activity. This includes:
Using VPNs to mask your location in order to gain unauthorized access to the AVATUS platform, a specific feature, or another user’s account
Attempting to hack another user’s account
Launching any sort of cyberattack
Posting misleading links for the purpose of gaining unauthorized access (i.e., phishing)
Launching malicious software (i.e., malware) to cause damage to or gain access to another user’s computer.
Child Protection
Content that endangers physical or emotional well-being of a minor is not allowed on AVATUS.
AVATUS has a zero-tolerance policy for any activity endangering or exploiting children. This includes:
Any predatory behaviour, including attempting to befriend a child in order to manipulate and exploit them (i.e., grooming)
Sexualizing children in any way
Engaging in sexual conversation with or soliciting sexual material from minors
Sharing, requesting, or discussing child sexual exploitation imagery
Users who exhibit any behavior threatening the well-being of a minor, will no longer be guaranteed anonymity by AVATUS. Their details and behaviour will be reported to:

Violating this policy will result in content removal, suspension of channel/account and a permanent ban from AVATUS.
What this means for you
Do not post content, if it contains any of the below features:
Sexually explicit content that exploits minors
Minors involved in physically dangerous or harmful activities that may lead to serious injury or death
Content that may cause minors serious emotional distress, i.e parental abuse,\violence coercion, exploitation
If you see content that violates this policy, report it Violation Report .
Threats of Violence
AVATUS does not permit users to threaten others with real world harm, to encourage and facilitate such threats, or to provoke violence against people or
property. This includes threats of:
Physical assault or violence
Sexual assault
Property damage
If you see such content, report it Violation Report . Violating this policy may result in content removal, suspension of channel/account and a permanent ban from AVATUS.
Bullying and Harassment
AVATUS does not allow bullying, stalking, trolling, harassment, or intimidation on its platform. We also do not allow any content that depicts, glorifies, or promotes such behavior. This includes:
Singling out a user or group for ridicule or abuse
Sexual harassment
This policy applies to all kinds of content, texts, videos, audio recordings, live streams, comments, pinned comments and descriptions.
What this means for you
Do not post content that features malicious insults based on someone’s intrinsic physical features or attributes. Do not attack, shame or insult any individual or group of individuals and do not post content aimed at degrading them. Also, do not encourage others to post malicious comments on someone else’s content. On AVATUS there are positive and negative reaction buttons that allow you to express your feelings and attitudes on a specific post without being offensive or malicious, use those.
Suicide and Self Harm
Our users’ well-being is our main concern. If you are struggling with mental health issues, you are not alone. There is help and talking to a mental health care provider could help you cope with painful emotions.
The websites findahelpline.com/ and www.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_suicide_crisis_lines could help you get in touch with an organization dedicated to helping people going through difficult emotional experiences.
AVATUS does not allow discussing or depicting the following:
Content that glorifies, or encourages suicide or self-injury
Methods for suicide and tips on how to carry them out
Content that supports or depicts instances of self-harm
Images of bodies of suicide victims, even if they are fully blurred
Content featuring games and challenges that offer instructions for self-harm and suicide like Blue Whale and Momo
The violation of this policy will result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban from AVATUS.
Violent Content and Gore
AVATUS does not allow content that contains extreme violence or serious physical or psychological abuse, including:
Animal abuse and torture
Realistic depictions of extreme gore
The depiction, support, or glorification of war crimes or human rights violations, including torture
Inciting others to commit violent acts
Images or footage of violent acts or gore that are intended to cause shock and disgust like torture, physical attacks and fights, robberies, corpses, etc. Note that this is not a complete list.
What this means for you
If you chose to post violent content to raise sensitive or controversial social issues, you must make sure that your intentions are clearly described and supplied with all necessary warnings and restrictions. Do not post pictures or videos of violent or gruesome events for entertainment or to cause shock or disgust. If you find such content, report it Violation Report .
Terrorism and Violent Extremism Content
AVATUS prohibits content or behavior that supports, glorifies, or promotes any terrorist or extremist organization and their actions, including:
Depictions of or support for terrorist or extremist attacks or terrorist actors
Depictions of or support for the leaders of terrorist organizations
Depictions of the slogans, images, flags, or icons of terrorist organizations
Recruiting membership for a terrorist or violent organization, or encouraging others to leave AVATUS to find such information
Fundraising for terrorist or extremist organizations, people, or groups
Posting links to terrorist organization recruitment or other related sites
What this means for you
Do not post content that features logos, slogans or other visuals of violent criminal organizations with the intent to encourage others to support or join them. If you are posting content relating to extremist organizations for educational, documentary scientific or artistic purpose, make sure to provide:
Sufficient information explaining your reasons and intentions
Warnings of graphic content
Age restriction warnings
Illegal and Regulated Activities
We prohibit users from offering, promoting, or providing instructions on how to make, install or carry out illegal or highly regulated goods and activities. We restrict content that intends to sell illegal goods or services through direct sales or external links. Making the sale of Illegal items or facilitating the use of illegal services by posting links, emails, phone numbers, or other means to contact a seller directly is not allowed. The list of Illegal goods and services restricted by AVATUS includes, but is not limited to:
Illegal drugs
Misuse of prescription drugs
Drug paraphernalia, including pills, syringes, and pipes
Excessive use of alcohol, including references to or depictions of drunkenness, drunk driving, and consumption of alcohol by underage individuals
Human trafficking
Organ trade
Unlicensed medical services
Sex or escort services
Explosives or instructions on how to make explosives in real world
Endangered species, parts of endangered species or good made from them
Tobacco, including e-cigarettes, e-liquid, vapes, hookas, and other smokable products
Firearms, firearm accessories, ammunition, silencers, suppressors and conversion kits
This policy applies to videos, video descriptions, comments, live streams, and any other AVATUS feature. If you see such content, report it Violation Report. Violating this policy may result in content removal, suspension of channel/account or a permanent ban from AVATUS.
Physically Dangerous & Harmful Activities
AVATUS does not allow the depiction, glorification, or encouragement of participation in activities in the real world that are specifically designed to create an extreme risk of physical harm to the participant offline. This includes:
Extremely dangerous physical challenges or stunt trends
Instructional bomb and explosive making
Unsafe use of fireworks
Hacking tutorials and demonstrations
Encouraging or glorifying eating disorders
Depiction of abuse of hard drugs or instructions on making them
Pranks that may lead to serious physical danger or acute emotional distress
What this means for you
Do not post content that features dangerous or harmful activities and encourage others to try them.
If you are posting such content for educational, scientific, documentary or artistic purpose, make sure to provide:
Sufficient information explaining your reasons and intentions
Warnings of graphic content
Age restriction warnings
External Links
Posting links that redirect AVATUS users to websites featuring any content that is prohibited by the AVATUS Community Guidelines is considered a violation. This policy applies to video and video descriptions, audio, live streams, comments and pinned comments. It is not allowed to verbally encourage or direct users to visit prohibited websites.
What this means for you
Do not post links to websites that contain information that violates any of our community guidelines. Do not talk about visiting such websites in your audio or video posts. This includes links with the following:
Websites or apps that install malware
Websites or apps enabling phishing for a user’s private information (i.e login details, email, telephone number) or financial information.
Websites, apps, or other information technology that give unauthorized access to movies, songs, music videos, full video games, software, or streaming services that normally require payment
Pornography sites
Websites containing Child Sexual Abuse Imagery (CSAI)
Information on how to commit violent acts, or encouragement to do so
Websites that raise funds or recruit for terrorist organizations
RESPECT
We expect all AVATUS community members to treat one another with kindness and to respect other people’s preferences and differences. This means striving to be civil and respectful in all of our interactions. To encourage such an environment, we have established the following set of rules:
Discrimination, Slurs, and Hate Speech
AVATUS welcomes users of all backgrounds, and identities. You may not degrade, threaten, or attack individuals or groups, or encourage others to do so directly or indirectly, on the basis of their:
Race, perceived race, or ethnicity
National origin
Sexual orientation
Gender, gender identity, or gender expression
Religion or religious affiliation or beliefs
Age
Physical or mental ability
Veteran status
Family status
It is not allowed to post content that is designed to discriminate against others based on their membership in the above groups. Examples of such content include:
Experiences that imitate or suggest real-world acts of discrimination
Avatar clothing that is associated with hate groups
Symbols and flags associated with discrimination
Derogatory memes
What this means for you
Do not post texts, videos, or audio recordings that are intended to demean or degrade people belonging to groups identified in this policy. If you notice such content, report it Violation Report .
Vulgar Language, Cursing, and Dirty Words
At AVATUS we believe in freedom of expression. We accept that dirty words have long been an integral part of human speech and self-expression. Sometimes using dirty words allows people to enhance the strength of their feelings about a subject, or add humour into their speech. However, we draw the line when such language becomes obscene and offensive and is directed at another individual or a group of individuals.
Using vulgar offensive language to demean, traumatise, bully, humiliate or insult others will not be tolerated on AVATUS and may lead to either temporary suspension of the violator’s account or a permanent ban from AVATUS. If you notice such violations, please report them immediately.
What this means for you
While you may want to add spice to your expressions, make sure such language is not directed at anyone in particular and does not aim to hurt or humiliate another individual or a group of individuals.
Nudity and sexual content
Not all nudity is prohibited on AVATUS. We accept nudity and sexual content when it is used for educational, scientific, documentary or artistic purposes. However, pornography, nudity and sexual acts for the purpose of sexual gratification are not allowed.
Sexually explicit content involving minors or exploiting minors in any way is strictly prohibited.
Violent, graphic content exploring fetishes is also not allowed. Such violations will result in the permanent ban from AVATUS.
What this means for you
Do not post nude or partially nude content that features depictions of genitals, breasts, or buttocks – if its purpose is sexual gratification. If you find such content on AVATUS, report it Violation Report.
Extortion and Blackmail
We do not allow users to extort or blackmail each other. Extortion refers to any attempt to threaten another user in order to force them to do something. This includes threats to:
Reveal personal information
Take over another user’s account
Make false abuse reports
Harm someone in real life
What this means for you
If you have a dispute with another user on AVATUS, you can submit your claim for review by the AVATUS Administration Team. However, do not threaten or attack your opponent or any other member of the AVATUS community.
Real-World Tragic Events
AVATUS prohibits content that misrepresents specific real-world tragic events; mocks the victims of such events; supports, glorifies, or promotes the perpetrators; or capitalizes on these events for commercial purposes. Real world tragic events include:
Mass shootings;
Terrorism and domestic terrorism;
Specific, real world, natural disaster events;
Human or civil rights violations;
What this means for you
Do not post content that aims to demean, humiliate or in any way hurt victims of the above mentioned events. If you see such content, report it Violation Report. Posting such content may result in the account/channel suspension or a permanent ban from AVATUS.
Abuse of AVATUS Employees or Affiliates
At AVATUS we expect our users to treat all AVATUS employees, contractors, or affiliates with civility and respect. The following behavior will not be tolerated:
Threatening physical harm to an employee or contractor;
Threatening to share the employee or contractor’s personal information;
Harassing AVATUS employees or contractors online;
Threatening damage or harm to AVATUS offices, assets or data storage facilities;
Mistreating AVATUS employees, contractors, or their families in any form, could result in the loss of your account and a permanent ban from AVATUS.
FAIRNESS & TRANSPARENCY
AVATUS aims to build a community that’s fair and transparent about its rules and how they’re enforced. We want AVATUS community members to act fairly and honestly; to be able to trust each and the platform, and to respect each other’s contribution to AVATUS community. To create such an environment, we require our users to follow their local laws.
Spam, Scams & Deceptive Practices
Spam- AVATUS does not allow content that is designed to deceive others or that is shared repeatedly and disruptively anywhere on the platform. This includes:
Clickbait-type advertisements
Repetitive, large-volume messaging or leaving many identical comments
Creating experiences solely to direct users off AVATUS
Sending others to sites with harmful software to gather private information
Scams - We don’t permit deceptive schemes on our platform, including:
Sending or posting phishing or scamming links
Requesting passwords or access to another user’s account
Selling or seeking to buy accounts
Content offering pyramid schemes or “get rich quick” schemes
Uploading unauthorized copies of content
Selling AVATUS digital assets for real money off-platform
Artificially inflating engagement metrics: the number of positive reactions,views, visits or subscriptions to an experience
Cheating & Exploits - We do not permit users to deploy or discuss any methods of cheating, including:
Using exploits to gain an unfair advantage anywhere on the platform
Sharing exploits with others or encouraging others to cheat Violation of this policy will result in content removal, suspension of channel/account and, in case of repeated violations, permanent ban from AVATUS.
What this means for you
You are allowed to encourage users to follow your account, subscribe to your channel, attend your event or like your post. However, do not post content that aims to mislead and deceive others by directing them to harmful external sources or offering them deceitful schemes and services. If you see such content, report it Violation Report.
Fake engagement
This policy applies to all content created by our users including, but not limited to videos, live streams and text posts.
We consider real engagement only when human users interact with the content of our creators. The AVATUS rewards system has been developed in order to support and encourage such interactions and to keep real people engaged and motivated to spend time on AVATUS.
AVATUS does not allow using any hacks or external resources to artificially increase the number of views, subscriptions, or reactions. The violation of this rule may result in content removal; termination of a channel, campaign or a whole account.
What this means for you:
When promoting your content, you are able to use promotional tools offered by AVATUS, also the rewards system that is in place encourages users to interact with your content.
You are allowed to encourage users to view, like and subscribe to your account or attend your events, however, don’t post content that features purchasing views from a third party, or promotes third-party services that artificially inflate views, likes and subscribers.
Misleading Impersonation & Misrepresentation
AVATUS welcomes creativity when it comes to your avatar designs and username, but we do not allow users to mislead others by impersonating other people’s real- or virtual-world identity or affiliations, including other users, AVATUS employees, contractors, and affiliates, or public figures. It is not allowed to create an account that copies another person’s account, channel or event. It
is also not allowed to assume another user’s personality. This includes any attempts to impersonate in the following areas:
Name or username
Position in a company
Digital representation
A post or comment
What this means for you
When creating an account, a channel or an event, don’t copy the profile, background or overall look and feel of an existing account. Also do not mislead users into thinking that your account belongs to someone other than you and do not post content intended to make others think that someone else posted it.
Note: this policy does not apply to satire, fan art, or tributes that are clearly marked so and not misleading to other users.
Intellectual Property Violations
We don’t allow users to violate intellectual property rights on AVATUS, and will remove infringing content upon receiving a valid Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice or Trademark infringement removal request. Examples of intellectual property infringement may include:
Using another developer’s code to create your experience without their permission
Using another artist’s music in your experience
Using a brand’s logo or designs for the content you design without their permission

Misusing AVATUS Systems
AVATUS systems are designed to keep our community members safe and secure. We prohibit attempts to bypass these systems or violate our platform security requirements. This includes:
Attempting to get prohibited content approved by our administration team
Opening new accounts for the purpose of evading an enforcement action taken against a previous account
Using bots that are programmed to run disruptive, large-scale tasks
Re-uploading previously-moderated content
Falsely reporting other users or content, or encouraging or others to do so
Invading or flooding domes or groups in an effort to destroy the experience or its reputation
AVATUS Economy & Avatcoin
AVATUS offers its users an economic environment which is versatile and flexible. To keep it secure, some uses of Avatcoins are not allowed, including:
Using third-party services to sell, trade, or give away Avatcoins.
Falsification of promotional codes (Coupons) to appear like they are offered by AVATUS itself
Using hacking techniques to artificially inflate the amount of Gold or Silver Avatcoins in your wallet
The violation of this policy may result in fines, suspension of account, and a permanent ban from AVATUS.
